MURTA MARIA

Located in north-east Sardinia, just a few kilometers south-east of Olbia Airport, Murta Maria is a quiet, peaceful seaside village that’s known for its beautiful views as well as its water sports. Despite its tiny size, Murta Maria is entirely filled with fun and relaxing activities for both its locals and tourists to indulge in.

You will be spoilt for choice. The region boasts several unique and picturesque beaches, such as Porto Istana, Lu Impostu, and Le Saline. Lie back and soak in the sun or take a boat and explore!

WANDER THROUGH OLBIA

Olbia is not only know for its beaches. This wonderful seaside city with an extremely rich history also offers archaeological sites, exciting museums, tasteful restaurants and beautiful churches. The Archeological Museum of Olbia is the only museum in the world with masts and ship wheels from the Roman period. The Basilica of San Simplicio, a must see, is one of the few examples of Romanesque architecture in Sardinia. Take a stroll down Corso Umberto, a vibrant and lively shop-lined street that leads up to the beautiful waterfront boasting a fantastic sea view. You'll find you’ll find plenty to see, do, and discover in this wonderfully enriched town.

ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

The coast near Olbia is a prime marine wildlife area. Guided dolphin watching expeditions depart regularly from Olbia tourist harbor or from the nearby Golfo Aranci.

Visit the island of Tavolara by public ferry from Porto Taverna or on a private boat trip for excellent hiking, snorkeling and diving.

Spiaggia Pittulongu is a popular spot for windsurfing if you are a sports lover.
